SUMMARY:Adopt a Crag by Access Fund
DESCRIPTION:Join Access Fund’s Conservation Team and Red River Gorge Climber’s Coalition is back in the Red River Gorge! This is our first big infrastructure project in the Red since 2024. This time\, thanks to a grant from the National Forest Foundation\, we’re rolling up our sleeves at the Wave Wall in the Coal Bank area\, constructing retaining walls and building sustainable trails. \nFor all trail days\, volunteers will meet at Land of the Arches Campground (LOTA) at 10am and head to the trail work site from there. We typically wrap up around 2pm\, but no worries if you are unable to stay the entire time! \n  \nFor all Adopt a Crag events\, please keep in mind the following: \n\n\nWear closed-toed shoes. Long sleeves and pants are recommended. \n\n\nBring water\, snacks\, and extra layers for the elements. \n\n\nBe prepared to be challenged\, work hard\, and gain sending karma points! \n\n\nAlthough we’ll be outside\, if you are feeling ill or have had any recent exposure to Covid please reconsider and stay home to rest up! \n\n\nIf you have any questions\, please contact stewardship@accessfund.org \nAll volunteers must complete the Access Fund waiver prior to volunteering. Volunteers also must agree to Access Fund’s Code of Conduct.
